After biking across the border from Santa Elena, Venezuela to Pacaraima, Brazil (just 15 kilometers), I took a quick three hour bus ride into Boa Vista, thus entering the Amazon Forest again. I immediately jumped on another bus for twelve hours overnight to the Amazon capital of Manaus. The rainforest is hot and humid!

First impression: MEAT! I forgot about the Brazilian barbeque restaurants that I encountered in the States. First of all- many restaurants do an all-u-can-eat deal... WHAT?!? Others will charge by the kilo or just sell by the plate.

One of these boats will be my future home for four days as I stroll along the river to get to my next destination- Belém, the mouth of the Amazon River. Hopefully it will arrive in time for me to catch the Super Bowl
