Galapagos go-go-go!

I just arrived in the Galapagos a few hours ago.  It is warm and humid, patchy fog and clouds with intermittant heavy and light mist.

Here are some photos from the airplane to the main island of Santa Cruz and it's big town, Puerto Ayora:

first sight of one of the Islands... I swear there was a gremlin on the wing right before I took the picture

crabs on the rocks along the harbor in town

baby turtles of varying ages at the Darwin Research Station and Turtle Bay

adult turtles in Turtle Bay

this iguana was hanging out on the road beside a curb

this iguana is just chilling out next to trash on the sidewalk next to the main pier in town

many t-shirts for sale that I won't buy because I don't want to carry them around South America in my two backpacks.

Tomorrow I go on an eight-day tour around the islands on a boat.  Happy Thanksgiving!
